Cakes for Cause and our social enterprise, Moxie Bakery & Café will be temporarily closed until further notice. We are undergoing reorganization and look forward to serving our customers again.
We have to thank you, our customers for your continued support for our food mission and our social vision for the North End community.
All outstanding commitments to our stakeholders will be honored. Our vision has been and continues to be to provide meaningful services to vulnerable populations. You, as our customers and supporters have been a critical part of that with each cup of coffee you purchase and every scone you enjoy. Our social enterprise has strived to change the relationship between the community and its most vulnerable citizens by providing employment in a real world environment and you have watched the young people we employ develop skills and move forward with their lives as adults.
While Cakes for Cause and Moxie Bakery & Café hasn’t been and will never be the full solution for transitioning youth in our community, we are proud of the work that we have done over the last 5 years helping these young people who are most at risk.
We will be celebrating a graduation ceremony for our most recent apprentice on January 16th at 2:30 and would like to invite you to be our guest at that event. We are extremely proud of her success, her hard work, and her determination.
