CarterQue BBQ and Grilling in Mt Airy got a very favorable review in today’s Washington Post. Kudos to them. I’ve never been but the sweet and tangy black raspberry sauce they talk about makes me want to go in the worst way. Anybody ever been and care to comment?
Also Firestone’s Culinary Tavern had a fire early Monday morning and will be closed for a few days.
Yeah, Carterque rocks. I think Black Hog’s brisket is slightly better, but Carterque wins in the pork and sides category. Compared to the Blues BBQ Truck, I’d say they are about even. Carterque has seats and a consistent, bigger menu, but the specials at the bbq truck are amazing.
I am partial to the black raspberry BBQ, but then again it is made with our Black Raspberry Preserves. Glad to hear Carter-que is getting the appreciation it deserves.
