I just wanted to share with you a great magazine that I recently discovered. It’s called Edible Chesapeake. From their website:
“Edible Chesapeake is a quarterly publication that celebrates the abundance of local and seasonal foods in the Chesapeake watershed. We celebrate family farmers, fishermen, food artisans, chefs, and other food-related businesses, as well as the consumers, home cooks and restaurant-goers who support them.”
Check out their website and their magazine. It had a lot great information of interest to local foodies. It was also interesting to see that this is part of a national community of these magazines. It is published quarterly so I look forward to the winter 2007 edition. I heartily recommend tracking down a copy or subscribing.

I get my quarterly (I think it’s quarterly) copy from a Whole Foods here in Baltimore. You’re right: it’s great if you’re interested in our region’s cuisine.
Yeah- I pick mine up from the Common Market (a whole foods type co-op) here in Frederick. It comes out quarterly and if you check their website they tell you when the next issue will be published.
Hi Fred Foodie! Just wanted you to know my painting will be on the cover of the summer issue of Edible Chesapeake! Please tell your readers, your friends, your neighbors, your pets, everybody!
Here’s a link to my announcement here on wordpress:
